Welcome! I’m Amanda Roman, a Licensed Master Social Worker with a deep passion for helping others heal, grow and thrive. I specialize in working with children and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and the many emotional challenges that can come with life transitions. While my heart is rooted in working with youth, I also provide compassionate care to young adults, women, and men seeking support, clarity and lasting confidence.
As a mother to five little ones under the age of nine, I understand how sacred the decision is to trust someone with your child’s emotional well-being. I’m honored to create a safe, nurturing, and positive space where clients of all ages can feel seen, heard and supported. My empathetic nature, patience, creativity and strong communication skills help foster meaningful connections in the therapeutic process.
My approach to therapy is holistic, client-centered, and-when welcomed-faith-based. I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy and Strength-Based practices to meet each client’s unique needs. For those who share a Christian faith, I offer the option to incorporate spiritual and faith-based support into our sessions. If that’s not part of your journey, please know that I honor and celebrate our differences and believe that your uniqueness is your strength.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and my Master’s in Social Work from Sacred Heart University. As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I also bring a culturally sensitive perspective to my work and value the richness of every client’s background and story.
I know how much courage it takes to seek support, and I’m truly honored to walk alongside each individual and family on their path to healing.
