Perhaps you feel a little stuck or need a space to process what feels stressful or challenging. Maybe you’re seeking a safe environment to work through a concern. Congratulations on taking a step toward seeking support and identifying what you need. My name is Sarafina, and I am dedicated to providing a space where my clients can explore their experiences and find satisfaction, meaning, and connection in their lives.
I view mental health struggles as opportunities to delve deeply into the root causes of issues, identify your risk and protective factors, and discover healthy and adaptive ways to manage life’s most pressing challenges. No issue is too big or too small. My goal is to collaborate with you and provide the space and time needed to process what feels most challenging.
I work with teenagers, young adults, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, major life transitions, school or work issues, stress, and trauma. My approach to therapy is person-centered and wellness-focused. I believe everyone is the expert of their own lived experiences and can thrive by focusing on their personal strengths and overall wellness. I utilize various therapeutic strategies, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, psychodynamic approaches, mindfulness-based techniques, solutions-focused therapy, trauma-informed strategies, and motivational interviewing. I integrate these approaches to best meet each client’s needs while embracing the unique social and cultural factors that influence their experiences.
