Kassidy Bingel, LPC-A

September 11, 2026 by

Kassidy Bingel is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Connecticut. She is passionate about working with children and families, including gifted and neurodivergent youth and children experiencing separation anxiety. During her graduate-level internship, Kassidy received focused training in play therapy, including Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), a nondirective model of play therapy that allows children to safely express themselves through their most natural mode of communication: play. CCPT is effective with children aged 2.5 to 10 and addresses a range of presenting concerns, including anxiety, behavioral issues, low self-esteem, and grief. Parent involvement is an essential component of play therapy, and Kassidy meets with the parents of her young clients (typically under 12) about once a month to discuss parenting strategies and ways to support the child’s progress across all environments.

With adolescents and adults, Kassidy integrates talk therapy, expressive arts techniques, and sandtray techniques to create a supportive environment for clients to process thoughts and feelings and work towards their goals. Kassidy’s ideal client is motivated, eager to participate in therapy, and struggling with concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, family challenges, or adjustment to a recent life change.

Kassidy is currently pursuing a PhD in School Psychology at Fordham University so that she can achieve her dream of becoming a licensed psychologist and opening a private practice focused on the needs of gifted and neurodivergent youth and their families. When Kassidy is not at the office or at school, you can find her reading, listening to music, or at the dog park with her two furry friends.
