
Ashley Sears is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience specializing in the treatment of adults across the lifespan. Ashley is also a certified Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor, as well as a certified Auricular Acupuncture Detoxification specialist. Ashley earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Albertus Magnus College and earned her Master of Social Work Degree from Southern Connecticut State University.
Ashley believes in an integrative and collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. Ashley feels that therapy means something different to each individual and therefore the process should be tailored to you and your needs.
Ashley approaches her clients from a strengths-based perspective, utilizing a solution-focused, trauma-informed and person-centered framework.
Her goal is to work with you to help reach your wellness goals. Ashley believes that all of us have the capacity for growth and her goals are to work with to support you during that journey. Ashley has a strong background in working with adults seeking support to cope with co-occurring disorders and has extensive experience in the utilization of medicated assisted treatment. Ashley has worked with a broad spectrum of both mental health and substance use disorders including Anxiety, PTSD, complex trauma/vicarious trauma, ADHD, depression, family and relationship stressors, LGBTIA+, as well as a having a special interest in treating those living with chronic medical conditions, women’s issues as well as those living and caring for people with chronic illness, acquired and traumatic injuries.
