Does your child often feel weighed down by feelings of anxiety and depression? Are you unsure about how to best support them? Together, we can work to uncover the root cause of their difficulties and come up with solutions on how to handle them. I believe that every child is already equipped with the tools that they need in their “toolbox”, it just sometimes takes some extra help!
I have experience working with children and adolescents ages 4-17, in a variety of treatment settings including in-home programs, schools and outpatient clinics. I use a person-centered approach to address problems relating to depression, anxiety, ADHD, adjustment, trauma-related symptoms and family issues. I have been trained in several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I will soon be certified in MATCH-ADTC (Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problem).
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of CT and earned my Master of Social Work from Sacred Heart University. I also hold a Master of Science in Human Services from Albertus Magnus College.
