
Angela is a Licensed Master Social Worker and School Certified Social Worker. She attended Sacred Heart University where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She completed her Master’s degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University where her focus was Children and Families.
For over 6 years, she has supported children, adolescents and families in-home and in community settings. As an Intensive In-Home Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS) Clinician with Family & Children’s Agency and with Family and Children’s Aid, Angela worked alongside a multidisciplinary team and also in collaboration with The Department of Children and Families. Angela also worked as a Clinician for Wheeler Clinic in their foster care program, where she focused on treating Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Trauma.
Angela’s work as a clinician has focused on treating children, adults and families from underserved populations that have experienced trauma. Angela’s is a passionate advocate for those in need of guidance and support in working through anxiety, depression, parenting conflicts, and trauma. She provides individual and family therapy that utilizes a variety of clinical skills and treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy components as well as a strength’s-based approach. Angela believes that “there is hope for every child, adult and family out there. We all need support to get through life’s many challenges”.
In her free time, Angela loves spending time with her dog, cat and family – you might find Angela enjoying the beach, or on a traveling adventure!
